Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge Deck Waterproofing

In the case of footbridge and cycle bridge waterproofing there are several aspects to consider. Firstly they are usually applied at site, outside in any weather so you need a fast curing system. The decks typically consist of a steel deck which can have a lot of cyclical movement with seasonal weather variation so you need a flexible system. Finally, as the wearing layer the waterproofing system also needs to be tough to resist the foot traffic, rain, snow, bicycles and more.

We have all of the above factors covered with either our Polyurethane Modified Methyl Methacrylate (PUMA) technology and our EleDeck Polyurea Base coat

The system is based on a primer for the steel or concrete deck, a membrane layer which provides the waterproofing and also acts as a bed for the antislip aggregate followed by a topcoat to seal the aggregate in. The finishes system is applied rapidly, cures fast for inclement weather and provides a hard wearing durable finish. Please contact for details.
